How membership works

OASA looks for raw skill, talent and ambition. Membership is free.

  1. Apply or get invited. Any member can invite anyone, including whole teams.
  2. Review. We look at what you’ve built or done. Raw ability counts without a formal portfolio.
  3. Interview. A conversation about skill, talent, ambition, initiative and collaboration.
  4. 30-day trial. Work on an OASA project, or your own project if it is meaningful toward autonomy. You can ask the whole community for help.
  5. Decision. Accepted, or feedback and an invitation to reapply.
  6. Onboarding. Accounts, the contributor agreement and an onboarding buddy.

Invitees still interview and do the trial. Teams can apply together and do a team trial. In the founding cohort, the founder handles every step.
